People Who Care provides Social Support, which is a one-on-one personalised to help you participate in a variety of community activities, such as shopping, medical appointments or social events.

Group Support

Many people have made lasting friendships on our group outings and our team of volunteers dedicate themselves to welcoming new faces within the People Who Care community.

How much does it cost to attend the group outings?

The program fees are charged in respect to the CHSP guidelines which provide that if you are assessed as having capacity to pay the co-contribution then it is charged in accordance with the CHSP fee level. People Who Care can provide a free fee assessment to determine your fee payable or if your fee may be reduced or waived.

What are the activities that are on offer?

Monthly calendars can include outings and activities such as: Scenic Drive, In-Centre Bingo Bonanza, Market and Festival Exploration, Historical Town Visit, Mystery Tour, Iconic Hotel and Tavern Lunch, Op Shops Adventure, Secret Brunch, Art, Craft and Knitting Gathering, Picturesque Picnic, Indoor Swimming, Shopping Centre Spree and Living history books……you help us create the opportunities!

How can I join the group?

You must be assessed by the Regional Assessment Service as requiring support to participate in the community and be at risk of isolation or health deterioration if you are not able to access this support and companionship.
