People Who Care have been supporting people who are in financial hardship for over 40 years. Our charitable services are delivered by an experienced and qualified financial counsellor.
Anyone who is experiencing financial hardship and is overwhelmed by their finances can access our free, confidential counselling service. We can offer assistance with budgeting, advocacy and debt negotiation by providing information and referrals to specialists.
Provides financial support to people who rely solely on the pension and are experiencing financial hardship. This program assists pensioners by paying for essential expenses such as medical bills, utilities, urgent house or repairs, medication, house-hold items and white goods.
Other programs within PAP include relocation and public transport fund, community crisis payments for fuel and food.
The eligibility criteria for PAP is disability support pension or aged pension.
People Who Care will provide a helping hand to members of the community who are having financial difficulty paying for essential items. We provide access to financial assistance with an interest-free loan with no fees, charges and especially no interest.
The zero interest loan scheme is open to the community and subject to availability.
