COVID-19:
We're in this together.

In these uncertain and trying times, it's important to know that we are never alone, even though we may be apart.

Across the country, Australians are coming together in ways we haven't seen before to create a new kind of community of people who care.

We are here with you and for you. Together. Caring from a little distance.

What are we doing?

It's been a fast adjustment for the team at People Who Care, as it has for many organisations with the rapid changes required by all communities to help combat the COVID-19 crisis. Our staff and volunteers have all been educated and instructed to follow strict safety guidelines; maintaining physical distance in the office and on site, or working from home where possible.

Our staff team have been amazing and flexible but consistent in their support of each other and the clients.

There have, of course, been a few changes in some of our usual services including the postponing of group activities under our aged care programs and the temporary closure of our Op Shops. However, our support of our older Australians, those with disability and people who are starting over following domestic crisis has surely continued.

Caring from a little distance.
