People Who Care's services cover the metropolitan area. To be eligible, clients need to be frail aged or have a continuing functional disability. They must also live in their own homes or live independently within alternative accommodation.
The organisation conducts brief telephone assessments for all new clients before providing a service. If the client has not been assessed by another Home and Community Care agency, PWC may need to complete a formal assessment in the client's home.
Under our funding arrangement, we must charge fees for our services. Payment terms can be negotiated if you have a temporary problem. Should you wish to make a donation in addition to the fee, this would be much appreciated.
transport $8.00 one way or $12.00 return trip (longer trips may incur an extra cost)
 gardening $18.00 per hour
shopping $10.00 for return trip to local shops

While our principal aim is to help people live independently for as long as possible, we also provide service to care facility residents (nursing homes and hostels) under the Community Visitors Scheme. PWC arranges for volunteers to visit residents at mutually convenient times. Contact the Community Visitors Scheme Officer for more details on 9379 1944 or at pwc.cvs@iinet.net.au.
